About Truth-In-Housing Evaluations
Several communities in the Twin Cities metro area require homes to be inspected by a licensed evaluator before they are offered for sale, whether the sale is public or private. In most cases, these evaluations take less than an hour to complete. Additionally, we offer Pre-Inspections for those who want extra peace of mind before listing their home.
Below, you’ll find a complete list of Minnesota cities that require a Truth-in-Housing/Time-of-Sale Evaluation. If you don’t see a particular city on this list, there is no requirement for a Truth-in-Housing Evaluation in that location. We keep this list current to ensure accuracy, with the most recent review conducted on 3/7/2025.
