After taking many building code classes and securing his professional certifications, Neil began his career in home inspections in 1990. A move to Minneapolis landed him at the University of St. Thomas and ultimately a career in the orthopedic industry (carpentry on the human body). Twelve years later, after a kitchen/bath remodel, an energy audit, and the replacement of nearly every system in his 1940s St. Paul home, he knew he wanted to get back to working with houses, and that brings us to the present. He absolutely enjoys discovering the story every house has to tell. When he is not thinking about houses, he enjoys either being in a boat, an ice house, or an ice rink. He earned an A.A. degree from North Hennepin Community College in 2014. While recovering from an injury, Joe decided to take some online learning classes with ICA. His housing fascination began in 2002 when managing his first property: a 1923 Craftsman-style apartment in Minneapolis. “Once you know it, you can’t fear it,” is his personal homeowner’s motto. Bryan believes that home anxiety is best managed through deeply knowing a house. “Homes tell you exactly what they need if you know how to listen,” is another of his favorite sayings, and he delights in telling homebuyers what their houses are saying. Bryan has been inspecting since 2016, is a graduate of The ASHI School, and has an MBA from the University of Minnesota. Corey enjoys working with first time home buyers as well as seasoned investors. He appreciates the opportunity to teach all clients something new about the home. For example, how a home manages water, or how the mechanicals operate. He believes that when you look at all the components of the structure you can learn the personality of the home. Corey, his wife Sara, and son Owen have recently move to White Bear Lake area where they are finishing up a whole house remodel of their own home. Growing up, he helped his father, an avid DYIer, maintain the family home and the family cabin, an early 1900-built split-log that needed a good deal of "TLC" when they bought it back in 1995. From growing up on a farm to spending over 6 years in urban vegetable farming, Eric can identify baby vegetables the way he can distinguish between types of attic insulation. She keeps active with her practice of yoga and kettlebells. She thrives on helping others and enjoys making homemade soup and baking. Liz was born and raised in South Minneapolis. Her mentors in construction led her to develop a "side passion" for energy efficiency and building science. This eventually lead to her employment with the Center for Energy and Environment where she worked for five years as a residential energy efficiency consultant and building energy auditor. Her experience provides a substantial base of knowledge regarding the components that make a home safe & comfortable, but also efficient & functional - whether brand new or 100+ years old! She loves looking at houses, talking about houses, and fixing houses. When she is not working in someone else's house, she's working on her own. If she's not working on a house, she's probably out adventuring with her wife and two kids!

Mike’s career path reflects his fascination with learning, designing, building, and teaching. Among other things, he has been a chimney sweep, a mover, a vice-president/general manager of a moving company, a cleaner, and the owner of his own bicycle mechanic business. His mechanical aptitude and curiosity about how things work prepared him to become an ardent and detail-oriented home inspector who digs into the nooks and crannies of clients’ homes to get them the best information available. Mike spent much of his childhood in the Twin Cities. When he reached 7th grade, his parents moved the family to a very old “hobby” farm in Buffalo, MN. He spent much of his high school and college years helping his parents maintain and improve the farmhouse, farm buildings, and farm machinery, all while running his own chimney sweeping business on the weekends. Mike graduated from Gustavus Adolphus College in St. Peter, MN, with a bachelor’s degree in Russian Studies. Several years after graduating, he met his wife Kerri, also a “Gustie,” and helped put her through law school. They have two children and a plethora of animals (including dogs, cats, lizards, and backyard chickens) with whom they share their 1.5 story south Minneapolis home. When he has time, Mike enjoys long bike rides on his vintage chrome Schwinn Paramount, a good book, building amazing Halloween decorations (just ask), scuba diving, being a builder/hacker, and, recently, learning how to work with hot molten glass.

Antonio began working at Private Eye in 1998 doing moisture testing on stucco homes when the field was newly developing. Since that time the industry has grown in leaps and bounds and Antonio has taken advantage of the opportunity to continue to refine his moisture testing skills. He is now the primary moisture testing technician for Structure Tech. Antonio enjoys pickup soccer games during the summer, traveling, water sports, camping in the BWCA, and working on home improvement projects in his spare time. Mindy lives in Richfield with her husband Stoddard and two children, Josiah and Zara. Spending time with them is her greatest joy.

Peter grew up in Michigan and graduated from Michigan State University. He works as a volunteer with the Minnesota Prison Writing Workshop, as well as doing publicity for the Heights Theater, as well as other arts organizations in the Twin Cities. When he’s not scheduling inspections he loves to read, watch movies (especially silent movies), hit estate sales, and bicycle around town. He lives with his wife and two cats in Minneapolis.

Trina is proud to be a military wife and mom. Trina and her husband, Nate have 3 adult children and one very spoiled cockapoo named Sonny. She also enjoys traveling now that the kids have grown. The Caribbean is her favorite to travel.

Lisa has spent most of her adult life working in an office environment, with experience in real estate, churches, and law firms. Lisa graduated from the Minnesota School of Business with an associate paralegal degree. Lisa lives in Andover with her husband, Brian. Lisa has three amazing daughters and an adorable but spunky granddaughter. Lisa loves animals and it shows, with a spoiled Shih-Tzu named Hogan, a mischievous cat Oscar, and a squawking bird, Lola. Lisa enjoys being outside gardening, going for walks, camping, biking, exercise, and spending time with family and friends. She hopes to do a lot more traveling in the future.

Kevin currently lives with his partner and their newborn baby girl in a small town in the northern part of the Philippines. One of the things he loves best is riding his motorcycle and will go anywhere as long as it’s accessible. He has always loved the saying “No plans, no maps, no GPS, no rules.”
