Here at Structure Tech, we offer transparent, up-front pricing for all of our inspections. We have a price calculator on our home inspection pricing page, where you simply enter the size and age of a home to get the price.
We charge a little more than other home inspection companies here in the Twin Cities, but we also stand behind our work with a guarantee: if you don’t think your home inspection was worth every penny, you don’t have to pay us. So what do our clients think about the pricing? Here are some quotes from our latest Google reviews where people mentioned something about the price:
- “After seeing how detailed and professional StructureTech was with our inspection, I was very happy we chose to go with them. Not the place to try and save cash, peace of mind is priceless!”
- “Not your run of the mill inspection! Eric was so detailed in his review of our 140 year old future home. More expensive but the information will provide value for years to come.Worth every penny!”
- “The inspection fee was well worth the knowledge I gained.”
- “Their pricing was not the cheapest but we wanted quality. We got what we paid for. Quality.”
- “The price is more than you might pay for some other companies, but I’ve heard horror stories about bad home inspections. Of all the things I’ve paid for in the homebuying endeavor, I feel best about this expense. It was definitely worth it, not just in repairs we could negotiate with the seller, but in what we learned about the house that we can use going forward as owners.”
- “Very easy to work with, flexible scheduling and a super detailed home inspection. Martin didn’t miss a thing. We felt we got amazing value for our money.”
What does everyone else charge?
Every four years, we conduct a home inspection price survey. We reach out to every home inspector we can find in Minnesota and ask about their pricing so we can understand where we fit in the market.
We conducted our most recent survey in the fall of 2024. At that time, the average fee for a 2,000-square-foot home built in 1990 was $438.
Our fee for that same inspection was $556, which put us $118 above the statewide average.
And we’re okay with that.
When you consider our guarantee, nearly five thousand 5-star reviews, our long history in the industry, and our reputation as a leader in home inspections, it’s easy to see why we charge a little more.
We’re not trying to be the cheapest inspection in town.
We’re trying to be the best value.
